Pursuing an Education for a Career in Fisheries Science
Georgia has a number of colleges and technical schools that offer opportunities for students to pursue an education that will help them earn a job related to fisheries science. Some schools, like the University of Georgia offer a specific degree in Fisheries, while other schools offer a more general major in Biology that can be tailored to gain the education and skills needed for a fisheries career. In either case, by working with faculty members, students can get important outside-the-classroom research experiences in the field of fisheries.
