The 2019 meeting will be at the beautiful Lake Blackshear Resort at Georgia Veterans State Park in Cordele.  Expect presentations on a wide range of topics which focus on the conservation and sustainability of fishery resources and aquatic ecosystems.

Pre-registration for the meeting is $85 for professional and $40 for students, and the pre-registration deadline is January 23, 2019.  GA-AFS dues for 2019 are $10.  This year, we ask you register using the Online Google Form and mail your payment.  Or you can download the  2019 GA-AFS Annual Meeting registration form.

Call for Abstracts – We welcome topics including, but not limited to, fisheries management, aquatic invasive species, fish health, aquaculture, endangered species, non-game aquatic species, fisheries ecology in the urban interface, and all coastal fisheries. Please email your abstracts to Carolyn Belcher by December 1, 2018. Abstracts (300 words max) should be submitted as an attachment in a Word document and include the following information:

  • Presentation Title
  • Presenting Author (with contact information; work address and email)
  • Co-authors (with contact information)
  • Abstract (300 words max)
  • Presentation type: Oral or Poster
